It's Five O'clock Somewhere: Rosemary and Cucumber Gin and Tonic

It's five o'clock somewhere was an appropriate name of an inflight cocktail I once had. The cocktail was, disappointing but the name has stuck. I have seen this on Pinterest and wanted to give it a whirl. I couldn't find a recipe I liked so I created this.  It's a little bit different and should be enjoyed during humid weather and while wearing s safari hat (or alternatively during a thunderstorm, inside--work with what you have).

Rosmariinikurkku G & T? Mikäli kiinnostuksesi heräsi suosittelen kokeilemaan (se on helppo).

Rosemary and Cucumber Gin and Tonic

1 serving

3cl Gin (I used Bombay)

1 large sprig of Rosemary

A quarter of a Cucumber

A squeeze of lemon

2-3-DL Tonic Water (Schweppes is an obvious choice, or Fentimans)

Ice

Cut, peel and remove the seeds of the cucumber. Dice the peeled pieces and chop of half of the rosemary sprig leaving the other half as a garnish. Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker (if you don't have one, make do with a bowl). I used  a pestle to smash the cucumber into submission. Once the gin, rosemary and cucumber have combined nicely into a juice add some ice to the shaker and shake. To serve: pour gin, rosemary and cucumber concoction into desired glass with some ice, pour in the tonic water until the glass is full, stir. Add some rosemary, lemon and cucumber as a garnish. Relax, it is five o'clock somewhere, after all.

Rosmariinikurkku G & T

1 annos

3cl Giniä (Itse käytin Bombayta)

Iso oksa rosmariinia

1/4 kurkkua

puristus sitruunaa
